Basically, GOlegal offers the peace of mind of having a full in-house legal department at your disposal, without the hassle and the cost. We mainly focus on commercial, IT, IP and compliance missions (GDPR, NIS2, DORA, ...), because we know that's what matters most to innovators, but we are equipped to deal with any legal challenge thrown our way.

‍Here's what you will do as an in-house counsel at GOlegal:

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial or IT contracts like a boss
• Deliver GDPR support, advice and guidance to our customers like a pro
• Pilot legal missions with our job management system like a champ
• Be in direct contact with GOlegal customers and attorneys like a star

Here's what we are looking for in our ideal candidate:

You are a dynamic & creative individual who has:

• 0 to 2 years of legal work experience (preferably in a renowned law firm, but we are not one to judge)
• Master in Belgian Law (or equivalent)
• Expertise in Commercial Law (or willingness to learn)
• Expertise in IT Law & GDPR (or eagerness to master)
• Fluency in English / Dutch or English / French (or both, or more)
• Familiarity with MS Office (and any other tool that gets the job done)

You also have these awesome qualities:

• Clear and synthetic communication (because nobody likes long and boring emails)
• Pragmatism (because you know that the perfect is the enemy of the good)
• Strong learning skills (because you are always curious and eager to improve)
• Rigor in execution (because you don't like to leave things unfinished or sloppy)
• Empathy for customers (because you care about their needs and expectations)
• Curiosity and innovation mindset (because you are not afraid to try new things and challenge the status quo)

And if you have these bonus points, we will be even more impressed:

• Experience in compliance topics like GDPR, NIS2, DORA, ... (because it's the new black)
• IT Law expertise (because it's the future)
• Trilingual (EN / NL / FR) or any other language (the more, the merrier)
• Legal Tech-savviness (because you know how to use technology to your advantage)
• Certifications in legal expertise or other business practices (because you are always upskilling yourself)
